Is self-drive car hire available in Labuan Bajo?

- Traffic is mixed. Motorbikes, dogs, goats, buffalo, market crowds and children share the carriageway. Local drivers read that flow instinctively; visitors usually do not.
- Fuel and help are sparse. Outside the main towns, filling stations thin out and there is no dense roadside-assistance network to call.
- Parking in town is tight. Central Labuan Bajo is narrow and steep, and harbour parking fills fast on boat-departure mornings.

What does chauffeured car hire actually include?
Unless your quote says otherwise, a with-driver rate for 2026 covers a licensed, English-speaking local driver, fuel within the agreed area or route, driver meals and parking on standard day trips, drinking water, plus vehicle insurance and routine maintenance. Not included by default: park and site entrance fees, boat or ferry tickets, and driver accommodation on multi-day runs — all itemised in your quote.
The fleet spans a Toyota Avanza for couples up to an Alphard for executive arrivals, with a Fortuner for rough inland tracks and HiAce or Elf minibuses for groups of ten to nineteen.
