What do multi-day overland hires across Flores cost?
Trans-Flores journeys are quoted per vehicle per day rather than per kilometre, because road conditions between Labuan Bajo, Ruteng, Bajawa, Ende and Maumere vary widely. As a working guide for 2026: an Innova on a Wae Rebo or Ruteng run is quoted from around USD 90–120 per day, a 4WD Fortuner from USD 130–170 per day, and a Hiace for a group from USD 140–190 per day, each including fuel, driver, tolls and inter-town road charges.
Overnight hires add a driver meal-and-lodging allowance, usually a modest fixed amount per night. How do you get a firm quote and book?

- Step 2 — receive a written quote, normally within a few business hours, showing the vehicle class, hours covered, inclusions and any overtime or allowance rates.
- Step 3 — confirm and secure the vehicle with a deposit; the balance is settled at the end of the hire. Payment can be made in USD or Indonesian rupiah at the prevailing rate on the quote date.

Do you charge extra for early-morning or late-night pick-ups?
Pick-ups between roughly 22:00 and 05:00 may carry a modest out-of-hours supplement, which we always show in the quote before you confirm. Early ferry and dawn boat departures are routine for us and are planned into the schedule.
